Presentation
This wine, which is only available in magnums, needs a while in the bottle before being opened, unlike the estate’s other wines. It is very pure and sophisticated. Ten years of ageing are ideal to bring out all its harmony. The vines were planted pre-phylloxera, between 1870 and 1882, and have undergone no grafting.

Tasting
Primary red and dark berry aromas open up slowly then, spice and mineral nuances. It is perfumed, offering appealingly sweet, deeply concentrated black raspberry and cherry compote flavors and a bracing white pepper and herbs. Shows more red fruit and gentle tannin on the finish, which features a hint of candied flowers.
