Nuits-Saint-Georges "Les Belles Croix"

Density and roundness are the words that best describe this Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Belles Croix

The first vintage dates back to 2018.
0.70 hectares of vines planted in 1954.
This plot is located in the south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, and neighbors the premier cru of Les Pruliers.
Located in the alluvial cone of the Nuits valley, this terroir is deeper, with fine clay rich in organic matter. There is little limestone and more of the ferrous oxide pebbles known locally as “chailles”.
Pinot Noir : 100%

Harvesting in whole bunches brings a certain freshness to this cuvée. This wine has a character that is both ample and dense, and is often fairly firm, thanks to its clay soil. The density in the clay can be equally felt in the glass. It is typical of the wines of the southern part of the Côte de Nuits.
