Savigny-lès-Beaune "Clos du Village"

1143 bottles have been produced in 2018.

These vines are located in the westernmost part of the Savigny-lès-Beaune AOC in the hamlet known as Le Village, on a rich limestone soil. The walled plot is planted with around 20% Pinot Blanc.

It faces due south and this, combined with exceptionally white soil, ensures wonderful maturity and great luminosity. The plot is located at the mouth of the Combe de Barboron and enjoys cool winds coming down off the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, naturally regulating the temperature of the clos.

Harvesting is manual and followed by slow pressing of 3 hours.

Aged in oak barrels (no new barrels) for a period of 15 months.
