Chambolle-Musigny "Aux Beaux Bruns"

Location
Located in the northern part of the appellation, in the premier cru climat of Aux Beaux Bruns.
Terroir
This is a darker terroir with blacker and deeper clays than those found to the south of the appellation. This plot is located a few meters from the village of Morey-Saint-Denis. This is reflected in the wine, which is more structured whilst maintaining the delicacy and finesse of the tannins of Chambolle.
Winemaking
Harvesting is manual with 50% of whole clusters.
3 weeks of fermentation with very light extraction.
Ageing
30% of new oak barrels are used for an aging period of 18 months.

This is a more muscular Chambolle, reflecting some of the characteristics of Morey-Saint-Denis.
